Watch It: 100th Episode of How I Met Your Mother

18 01 2010

The Monday (1/11/2010) before I left for Vegas, I was treated to the 100th Episode of How I Met Your Mother, entitled “Girls Vs. Suits.” And what an episode it was. Maybe one of the best episodes yet, especially because it teases and gets tantalizingly close to revealing who the mother is.

**Semi-Spoiler Alert!**
HIMYM Girls Vs. Suits
Right from the beginning it starts as the hottest episode since it guest stars Rachel Bilson and Stacey Kiebler as the hot bartendar. And I think the best line of the episode was what Bob Sagat narrated as the first thing that was said about the Mother, “She’s a whore.” lol Too funny. Finally, the supposed “big piece” of the episode was a musical number by Barney Stinson aka Neil Patrick Harris. I thought it was pretty cheesy but I guess they had to do something to make the 100th episode memorable. Anyway, check out the entire episode on the official HIMYM website.

EDIT: Oops can’t believe I forgot but the hottest HIMYM episode was actually the one where Ted and Barney went to the Victoria’s Secret party. Not sure which season/episode but definitely the hottest.

WTD: How I Met Your Mother Season 1 on DVD

10 11 2009

HIMYM

How I Met Your Mother on CBS Mondays at 8pm ET is my favorite sitcom. I bought the first two seasons on DVD and you can too at a good price from Amazon.com if you click on the picture to the right. Even if you’re not a huge fan of the show, the Season 1 DVD is definitely WTD! It is worth purchasing because the show itself chronicles the story of how Ted met his wife and it’s worth knowing how the whole story started. It is also fun finding out how Barney became friends with the group, how Ted met Aunt Robin and where some of the recurring jokes came from. And of course the entire season I thought was legen…wait for it…dary! My favorite episode was the 5th show entitled “Okay Awesome” with an original airdate of 10/17/05. It was a really funny representation of the clubbing scene.

The second season isn’t as important or funny as the first so I would say that it is only WTD if HIMYM is one of your favorite shows. I bought it cuz it’s my favorite show. I don’t have the rest of the seasons yet (3 and 4 as of this writing) but I plan to buy them once their prices go down a bit. I think that my WTD evaluation would be the same for those season DVD’s as Season 2.

Anyway, that was my short Amazon.com style product review. For more HIMYM fun, visit the show’s Official Site and Barney’s Blog.
